I'll be on vacation for most of the rest of May, and I'm not taking any computers with me, so not much will be added until June.

A couple changes will be made as soon as I figure out how -- attachments will be disabled, and smilies will be allowed.

The "junior member" that shows up under new registrants' name will be going away.

There are about a million options to configure this package, and so far I've only looked at 100,000.

I think I've taken care of the 3 items I was concerned about:

Attachments are disabled. Several of the file types allowed by default can carry viruses, and I don't want to be in the business of delivering them.

Smilies were already allowed -- you have to selected the "advanced" editing options or just type them in-line.

"Junior member" and "member" designations are gone. "Senior member" is retained for those with 150+ posts. Might as well reward those who stick around.

Lived at Sampson AFB 52 - 53, NYC 54 -56, Troy, NY (Dad was recruiter in Albany) 56 - 60, Edwards AFB 60, Grigny, France (Orly AFB School 60-61 & Garches Elementary School 61 - 63), Rome Italy (Overseas School of Rome 63 - 65) & Griffiss AFB 65 - 67. Dad went to Nam & we went to Troy, NY (again).
Draft # was 81 in 71 so I enlisted in the US Army. Ft Dix, NJ 71 -72, Ft Gordon, GA 72, Oakland Army Base 72, Cambrai-Fritsche Kaserne, Darmstadt, Ger, 72 - 73...Civil Service at Watervliet Arsenal ( The Nation's Cannon Factory) Watervliet, NY 77 - 00. Worked in the Hearth & Patio Industry from 00 - 11 & now work at a Tenant activity at Watervliet Arsenal. I've reconnected with about 30 or so Overseas Brats thru Facebook & found this site today thru AOSHS. Nice to be "home!"
