Default Hal Frank has Died
I just got word that OAS English Teacher Hal Frank has died. He had a history of heart trouble, and died April 1, 2008. In addition to teaching English, he used to hold book fairs twice a hear in the OAS cafeteria - a big help to those of us starved for English-language books. He gave me an abiding love of reading and writing, and I will miss him.

Mr Frank was my favorite teacher at OAS, or any other school I went to. He had a great sense of humor, and conveyed a love for his subject. And his "creative spelling" tests broke me of that bad habit.
The world could use a lot more like him.
